Tapahtuma tuo yli 2 600 laulajaa Helsingin kaduille ja ravintoloihin

Kuorojen kierros järjestetään jälleen torstaina 13. elokuuta 2026.

Tänä vuonna 30-vuotisjuhliaan viettävä tapahtuma yhdistää ainutlaatuisella tavalla kuorolaulun ja ravintolakulttuurin. Kyseessä lienee Suomen suurin ja maailmanlaajuisestikin ainutlaatuinen kuorotapahtuma.

Juhlavuoden kunniaksi Helsingin ytimeen kerääntyy yli 130 kuoroa ja yli 2 600 laulajaa. Tapahtuma käynnistyy yhteiskonsertilla ja levittäytyy sen jälkeen ympäri kaupunkia sadoiksi minikonserteiksi.

Senaatintorilta ravintoloiden vilinään

Tapahtuma alkaa suurella yhteiskonsertilla Senaatintorilla klo 18:00. Yhteisesiintymisen jälkeen klo 19:00–22:00 kuorot jalkautuvat Helsingin ravintoloihin, kaduille ja puistoihin.

Illan aikana esiintymispaikkoja on yhteensä 55, ja yleisö pääsee nauttimaan yli 250 kuorokonsertista eri puolilla kaupunkia.

Kuorojen kierros on toiminut laulun ja herkkujen yhdistäjänä jo vuodesta 1996 lähtien. Tapahtuma on samalla suuri ravintolayhteisön yhteinen kulttuuriteko, joka tarjoaa ravintoa sekä ruumiille että sielulle.

Yhteisöllistä kulttuuria jo kolmen vuosikymmenen ajan

Kuorolaulu toimii vahvana siltojen rakentajana. Se yhdistää kaupunginosia, opintoyhteisöjä, harrasteryhmiä, työporukoita, kieliä ja kulttuureja.

– “On aina yhtä vaikuttavaa ja ihastuttava seuraa hetkeä, kun tilaan astuu kuoro ja laulu alkaa. Tunnetta, muistoja, iloa ja taitoa – joskus silmät kostuvat muustakin kuin mausteisesta ruoasta. On ollut hienot 30 vuotta”, toteaa tapahtuman perustaja Mikko Leisti.

Tapahtuma toivottaa kaikki tervetulleiksi nauttimaan Helsingistä parhaimmillaan. Kuorojen laulu ja ravintoloiden herkut tekevät elokuisesta illasta takuulla ikimuistoisen, tuoden eloa katukuvaan ja rentoutta arkeen.

The beloved Helsinki event “Kuorojen kierros” (Tour of Choirs) returns on Thursday, 13 August 2026. Celebrating its 30th anniversary, this unique festival blends choral music with local restaurant culture. It stands as the largest choir event in Finland and a one-of-a-kind spectacle on a global scale.

To mark three decades of harmony, over 130 choirs and more than 2,600 singers will gather in the heart of Helsinki. The event kicks off with a massive joint concert beforespreading across the city for hundreds of pop-up performances.

From Senate Square to Lively Restaurants

The event begins with a grand joint concert at Senate Square at 18:00. Following the opening performance, from 19:00 to 22:00, the choirs will scatter into Helsinki’s vibrant restaurants, streets, and parks. With 55 designated performance venues, audiences can enjoy more than 250 intimate choir concerts throughout the evening.

Since 1996, Kuorojen kierros has seamlessly paired live music with culinary experiences. The event is widely recognized as a large collaborative cultural effort by the local restaurant community, offering nourishment for both body and soul.

Three Decades of Community and Culture

Choral singing serves as a powerful bridge-builder. It brings together neighborhoods, communities, hobby groups, workplaces, languages, and diverse cultures. “It is always equally moving and delightful to witness the moment a choir enters a space and the singing begins. Emotion, memories, joy, and skill—sometimes your eyes water from more than just the spicy food. It has been a wonderful 30 years,” says Mikko Leisti, the founder of the event.
